Fresh’s Pasta"

Fresh Daily

What are your food memories growing up?
As a kid my mom made oatmeal and cream of wheat in a certain way. She’d put a lot of butter, milk, sweetened condensed milk, mashed banana, cinnamon, brown sugar. It was basically a dessert by the time she was done.I really looked forward to those breakfasts.

Have you got any favourite food references in music?
Ghostface, obviously. “His rap is like Ziti, feelin’ me real t.v, crash at High Speed, Strawberry Kiwi.”

And DOOM’s whole “MM..FOOD” project. But of late, I like Scienze’s “Good Food” album" and a lot of Action Bronson’s food reference rap.

What you putting in your sandwiches?
I’m gluten-free currently because of a late developed food allergy, so all my bread is gluten-free. But it’s still garlic marinated chicken breast, bacon, mayo, baby spinach, tomato, red onion, on toasted and buttered baguette.

You got any advice for the fans on how they can eat fresh, daily?
Always eat live greens, never frozen or canned. Baby spinach and leafy salads. Drink mad water, eat meat sparingly & parmesan truffle fries are a must.

Which Brooklyn MC said -
“My man had a chick and thought she was finger lickin, I knew her style that’s why I’m vegetarian”
Jeru the Damaja. Although, I seen Jeru with some hood booger type of girls back in the day,LOL. Shouts to Jeru, he’s a DJ now and he’s doing his thing!

Fresh’s Pasta

Aight, so I gave the world my perfect scrambled eggs already, I'mma hit y'all with my pasta wave.

  • You’re gonna need a whole packet of ground Italian sausage (like 2 cups or a little more)

  • 3 tablespoons of fresh crushed garlic

  • 1/3 a cup of diced red onion

  • A tablespoon of olive oil

  • A pinch of sea salt

  • A pinch of black pepper

  • 2 sprigs of scallion (diced finely)

  • A tablespoon of Italian seasoning

  • A teaspoon of robust Italian salad dressing

  • A tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese

  • A jar of your fave brand pasta sauce

  • Gluten-free pasta (1 box)

  • A tablespoon of butter or olive oil

  1. Start the pasta, the instructions are on the box (and toss a pinch of salt and a drop of olive oil). Because it’s gluten-free, the time for cooking it will be shorter.

  2. In a large saucepan, put the heat on high. Put the oil on the large saucepan when it’s hot, put the garlic, onion and scallion in the pan and stir fry it til it's about to turn a little brown

  3. Put the fire to medium heat then toss the sausage in and with a wooden spoon stir and chop it up. Ground pork sausage doesn’t crumble like ground beef, you gotta put ya wrist in it.

  4. Dump the Italian seasoning, the Italian salad dressing in there too. Don’t leave the pan, constantly stir and chop with that wooden spoon. Mix it up til it’s cooked and browned all the way through. There’s pork in there and you gotta make sure it’s cooked.

  5. Drain your pasta in a strainer/colander over the sink. Hit it with the butter or olive oil. And some black pepper. A tiny little pinch of salt. Fuck it, put some parmesan powder on it too.

  6. Lower the fire to low, finally, toss half a jar of the sauce on that sausage meat you’ve browned up. Stir it all up. simmer it and when the sauce is hot, you’re done.

  7. Make a bowl of pasta, pour the sauce and ground sausage combo over it. Top with a little parmesan.

You done. Bless up. Fresh’s Pasta.
